JR MECHANICAL ENGINEER:

QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST/TECHNICIAN:
NDI Engineering Company is seeking a QA Technician with a minimum of five years of experience in reading engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and familiarity with commercial and military specifications. Familiarity with NAVAIR drawing formats, MPRs, and MIL specs is preferred but not required. Experience in the measurement and inspection of mechanical components similar to those used in Aircraft Launch and Recovery Systems. In addition, experience in administration of and/or support of Quality Management Systems such as MIL-I-45208, ISO 9001 or equivalent and relevant knowledge of DOD procurement processes and DOD supply system organization with regard to executing contract quality assurance requirements and management of deficient products is desired. Candidate shall have a minimum of five years of experience in performing product inspection and conformance verification. Experience needed in using manual verification tools (e.g. gages, calipers, etc.), non-destructive test methods (e.g. magnetic particle inspection), and automated methods (e.g. operation and programing of coordinate measuring machines using PC-DMIS and Zeiss Calypso software). ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL/COMPUTER ENGINEERS:
NDI Engineering Company has an immediate need for Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Computer Engineers with 3-5 years experience in the development, test, installation, and operations and maintenance of hardware and software control systems. Candidates should demonstrate solid experience in engineering methodologies and integration of emerging technologies while providing in-service engineering (ISE) support for Navy Fleet issues. Work with PLC devices and HMI programming (C++/Java) highly desirable. Candidates should be self-starters to take on new projects and engineering challenges both ashore and on-board Navy ships. Some positions may require up to 40% fully reimbursable travel to install, validate, and/or troubleshoot field devices on board ship as part of on-going modernization programs. The candidate must be able to independently prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects. GAS TURBINE ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN:
NDI Engineering is seeking a Gas Turbine Engineering Technician with 2 years experience in general planned and corrected maintenance of gas turbine engines. Individual shall also have a general understanding of the operation of a gas turbine engine. Individual must possess a high school, trade/industrial school diploma, GED equivalent or completion of a technical or military school course of study in mechanical/electrical/electronic/control systems theory or completed training on the maintenance and operation of Gas Turbines such as an FAA accredited Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) School with a Powerplant Rating. SOFTWARE ENGINEER:
NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Software Engineer with experience in the design, development, test, and integration of software systems in an autonomous control environment. Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of SDLC processes and have previous development experience in GUI development and signal processing using Java/C++ and experience with either Windows 7/10 or Linux OS. The candidate will be responsible for new code development for modernization projects, software porting of legacy software, OS porting, system and software testing, and implementation of security controls. Candidates should have a working knowledge of version control software and implementation as well as Configuration Management best practices. Candidates will also assist in the preparation of software specifications and related updates for technical manuals, product specifications, and user training materials. Work with related hardware including PLCs a real plus. MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL ENGINEER:
NDI Engineering is seeking a Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with experience in control systems to support the role as test engineer for U.S. Navy shipboard and land-based test site control systems. The selected candidate will perform: Test U.S. Navy Ship Fuel Control System (FCS) software during configuration management builds and formal cold test evolutions using FCS simulators; When necessary manage a test team to assist with executing test procedure. Ensure that all elements of the test procedure are completed satisfactorily; Identify FCS software testing needs/ resources and attend daily Land-Based Engineering Site (LBES) stand-up meetings to de-conflict resources with other programs; Assist software developers with testing Software Process Improvement Record (SPIR) fixes during unit testing; Assist with troubleshooting issues to determine if issue is hardware or software based; Integrate FCS testing/troubleshooting efforts with MCS and other related hardware components; Write SPIRs for issues discovered during testing; Communicate severity to FCS Project Team Lead; Work with test coordinator lead and software lead to determine prioritization; Assist with design and development of new FCS simulators in LBES; Review drawings and make design recommendations; est and troubleshoot newly installed simulators; Attend daily and weekly status meetings; Communicate status of FCS issues and resource needs at daily stand-up meetings and weekly software meetings as appropriate; Communicate status of testing efforts with external teams and at weekly DDG FCS Team meeting. UNIT ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR (UEC):
NDI Engineering Company is seeking a Unit Environmental Coordinator (UEC) is to assist in the timely dissemination and implementation of regulatory requirements, identify areas of concern including regulatory compliance, and advise work-area supervisors on EMS and environmental policies. Serve as the Environmental Management System (EMS) conduit between the NAVAIR Lakehurst 4.0 competency leadership, the NAVAIR Lakehurst Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) Team, the NAVAIR Lakehurst Integrated Support Team (IST), the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) / Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Command Environmental Program Manager, and the installation environmental function. Advise work area supervisors on any EMS and environmental policies to include Hazardous Communication (HAZCOM). Manage and monitor EMS requirements for the organization. Communicates, monitors, and tracks environmental training needs for the organization. Participate and support EMS and compliance assessments. Ensures organizations with collateral environmental program duties are maintaining required records.

Desired experience: Power Concentration System (PCS); Prime Power Interface Subsystem (PPIS); Printed circuit board (PCB) and printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) manufacturing experience; High power electronics (IGBT, SCR, inverters, rectifiers, etc.); Power supplies (including high frequency ~50kHz); Power magnetics (transformers, inductors). Candidates should also be familiar with: Multi-level power converters, specifically neutral point clamped inverters; Thyristors; Snubber circuits for switching transients; and power electronics experience with high power (>1 MW) components is a plus. MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN:
NDI Engineering Company is seeking a mechanical technician with strong electronic and electrical troubleshooting skills and possesses a good working aptitude for mechanical, electrical and CNC repair. Needs to diagnose and repair production machines; e.g. mills, lathes, etc. Machinery mechanics work with fine, critical dimensions for almost every part. Work from sketches, diagrams, blueprints, written specifications, or oral instructions. The control of quality and accuracy is met by the machinists' use of precision measuring devices to include micrometers, vernier gauges, and various other gauges and the subsequent adjustment of machine tool controls. SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER, Part Time:
NDI Engineering Company has an immediate need for a senior level engineer to work part time that has in depth understanding of strength, fatigue, and fracture analysis. Experience with FEA modeling and analysis is required. Experience with ABAQUS, ANSYS, ALGOR, and Mechanica are preferred. The individual should have experience validating analytical tools with test data. Knowledge of ASME boiler pressure code is also beneficial. The individual will be part of a team focused on evaluating design analysis in conjunction with review of FEA models and test data. NDI Engineering Company requires an experienced Mechanical Engineer with 3 to 5 years of experience to work with the US Navy's Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS). SYSTEMS ENGINEER:
NDI Engineering Company requires Systems Engineers to provide Systems Engineering support for EMALS/AAG Ship Integration and Production efforts which include requirements and risk management, technical management products, including technical SOW and data requirements Implementations. Candidates will assist in coordination of technical work, and providing technical guidance in accordance with DoD Systems Engineering policies. Support includes tracking and management of contract deliverables from the prime contractor for the programs. It includes reviewing the materials and determining if they meet the requirements specified in the acquisition documents (System Specification, Statement of Work, and Contract Deliverable Items List) and coordination of the EMALS/AAG Technical Team inputs for incorporation to documents. NDI Engineering Company is looking for successful candidates fluent in DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification/accreditation processes, the development of required artifacts, and a working knowledge of the applicable DoD instructions and policies with respect to Platform Information Technology (PIT) and PIT Interconnections Information Assurance. Candidates should have a demonstrated understanding of the technical, engineering, and programmatic capabilities related to information systems and/or subsystems within the operational context of an overall machinery control system. The ideal candidate will have experience in RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A), technical security features testing & analysis, risk analysis, DOD Cyber tools (ACAS, SCAP, eMASS), and experience in developing and implementing Cybersecurity Strategies in a DOD acquisition environment. PLC Programmer:
NDI Engineering Company has an immediate need for a Computer/Software Engineer with experience in controls system design, development, programming, and instrument/control integration using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) in Navy shipboard process control systems. The candidate will need 3 years hand-on experience in PLC control system design, development, and test, including hardware, software, and HMI integration with operator workstations, with a background in automated control systems design/development and network communications to integrate discrete/analog devices into equipment per project specifications. Must have strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently to solve problems. Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming is highly desirable. Candidate will provide technical support during developmental laboratory testing and shipboard testing and commissioning, requiring up to 15% fully reimbursable travel to install, validate, and/or troubleshoot field devices on board ship as part of ship modernization programs. PROGRAM ANALYST:
NDI Engineering is seeking a Program Analyst to support planning, scheduling, coordinating, reporting, and other related management support functions for U.S. Navy Modernization Process (NMP). In support of various ongoing Navy ship installation and alteration projects, the candidate will maintain Planning Of Action and Milestones schedules, coordinate documentation related to engineering changes to ship's systems, develop and maintain Memorandums of Agreements, coordinate engineering, access, and safety documentation required for ship installation events by Navy and contractor personnel, and other business processes and data systems within the Navy Data Environment (NDE). For this tasking, the program analyst will work directly with Navy civilian personnel to support their planning, programming, budgeting, management, and execution of their NMP within the Navy Data Environment (NDE). The program analyst will coordinate meetings, including minute taking, capturing action items, and following up on action item completion and supporting development of presentation slides. In addition, the program analyst will support financial tracking and analysis of NDI contract data and monthly reporting. * Four (4) years of post-graduate technical design experience.
* Familiar with commercial ship operations, reliability engineering, maintenance concepts, programs and procedures.
* Familiar with the development of work items, drawings, analysis, cost estimate and technical reports for ship repair or other related projects.
* One half of the proposed Engineers must provide evidence that the individual held a USCG Merchant Marine Credential, with the following rating and endorsements: minimum of a Second Assistant Engineer of Steam/Motor/Gas Turbine, Unlimited Horsepower. Engineers with current registration in any state in the United States as a Professional Engineer may be substituted for up to half of the required engineers with licensure.


THERMOGRAPHIC SURVEYOR:
