NDI Engineering Co., Thorofare, New Jersey (N64498-22-D-4010); was awarded a $47,458,616 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for the procurement of engineering and technical services for the design of small to large-scale test sites at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD). The procurement includes design planning for hull, mechanical, and electrical systems and equipment, the DDG-51 land-based engineering site, and current and future test sites at NSWCPD and the required design support may range in scope from design of small test stands to full scale land based test and engineering sites, replicating actual shipboard systems and ancillary equipment to be installed at NSWCPD. Work will be performed primarily off-site at the contractor’s facilities, in either New Jersey, Pennsylvania, or Virginia (83%). The remaining work will be performed at the government site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (15%); and other government sites (2%) including Washington, D.C.; Newport News, Virginia; Pascagoula, Mississippi; Bath, Maine; Bremerton, Washington; Marinette, Wisconsin; and other sites as directed. NDI is pleased to announce that a scientific paper, authored by NDI employees Michael J. Mielnik, PE, PMP and Owen R. Christianson, Ph.D., titled "Pulsed High-Temperature Superconductor (HTS) Coil Performance," has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Applied Superconductivity Issue of JUNE 2017, Volume: 27, Issue 4. NDI Engineering Company has been actively engaged in the design and development of High-Temperature Superconductivity Magnetic Energy Storage for over five years. Part of this work was sponsored by the Office of Naval Research. This is enabling technology that is suitable for both High Energy Pulsed Power and Steady-State MicroGrid Electric Power System Applications.

" The contract has a potential value of $150,000 if all options are exercised.
NDI has been awarded Cost Plus Fixed Fee IDIQ contract N68335-16-D-0020 for technical support services in support of the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Lakehurst, New Jersey Prototype Manufacturing Department, Code 4.8. The technical support services include test operations support, engineering investigation support, prototyping, producibility engineering, contract data package review, technical manual review, installation of Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) systems, reverse engineering, quality assurance, especially in the area of mission-critical and flight safety-related part and assembly manufacture, sole-source supply of critical Navy hardware, and other manufacturing functions. The contract has five 12 month ordering periods with a total potential contract value of $17,777,138.

This order, with a potential value of $9,859,161.37, provides for support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD), Philadelphia Code 941, for the planning, development, production, procurement, and sustainment of logistics products for Hull, Mechanical, and Electrical (HM&E) systems and equipment to be installed on US Navy new acquisition/construction ships and submarines as well as coordination of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) updates associated with life-cycle sustainment planning and execution of these shipboard HM&E systems and equipment.
